| CELEBRITY CARWASH
On Saturday 8 May 2010, Irene Village Mall hosted a Mother’s Day Celebrity Carwash in the Covered Parking area to benefit Reach For A Dream. The Celebs were in high spirits as they donned their red overalls and gumboots to entertain the lucky customers who came downstairs to the Village Car Salon. The likes of Terence Bridget, Paul du Toit, Robbie Klay, Albert Pretorius, Reynardt Hugo, Deidre Visser and Ramey Short splashed about and traversed the mall on the Car Salon’s famous golf cart. A ravishing red F430 Ferrari was also on hand to provide a backdrop for the lucky ladies taking their photos with the famous faces. Magnificent prizes were handed out, such as free parking, salon treatments and carwash vouchers. After all the excitement and tomfoolery, Spur treated everyone to a birthday lunch for Daphne and the girls from the Mohau Children’s home. A substantial sum was raised for Reach For A Dream and a jolly old time was had by all. Thanks to the celebs who generously donated their time to put smiles on everyone’s faces, as well as the sponsors of the day: Curves, Willa Krause Salon, Pressed In Time Dry Cleaners and The Village Car Salon, Park With Spark and Spur.
